Original Text Boutique so Chic As I walked into Guise before it collided with Chic to pickup some trendy threads for a friend, I was warmly greeted by Heidi Taylor, one of the super stylish owners of Guise. I looked around and was fascinated at the one stop shop every man had ever dreamed of. Guise is a place where a guy can be a guy. It is a comfortable store for a man to not feel overwhelmed by fashion and style, and in return, actually come out looking better than he did going in. How do they do it? Well, the owners creatively thought that a man who can kill two birds with one store would prefer killing two birds in one shop. SO, why not get a haircut, and a new look all at once? It's brilliant. You may think that a guy might still feel uncomfortable, but not at all. Top notch advice from expert hair stylists and fashion opinions from wardrobe specialists could get a guy to feel excellent knowing that he was in good hands. At Guise there is no worrying about making a wrong decision on an outfit or accidentally deciding to buzz your hair off, as the owners and their employees make it their job to make you look and feel great. Original Text: The style conscious professional male can be notoriously difficult to please. He is part of a discerning and brand savvy breed that demand the highest level of service. Original Text: mini department store or maxi boutique? Guise | Chic, an expansive new Lincoln Park retailer housed in a former police station, truly packs it in: clothing for women, clothing for men, an on-site hair salon--with seven full-time stylists--and a luxe apothecary. Yet it manages to feel very closely edited and not at all overwhelming, with exposed brick walls and glossy wood floors providing a fittingly sleep backdrop for citified pieces from names like Amanda Uprichard (look for her tuxedo-striped silk blouses) and buttery leather bags from Gustto. |
