As I walked into Guise before it collided with Chic to pickup some trendy threads for a friend, I was warmly greeted by Heidi Taylor, one of the super stylish owners of Guise. I looked around and was fascinated at the one stop shop every man had ever dreamed of. Guise is a place where a guy can be a guy. It is a comfortable store for a man to not feel overwhelmed by fashion and style, and in return, actually come out looking better than he did going in. How do they do it? Well, the owners creatively thought that a man who can kill two birds with one store would prefer killing two birds in one shop. SO, why not get a haircut, and a new look all at once? It's brilliant. You may think that a guy might still feel uncomfortable, but not at all. Top notch advice from expert hair stylists and fashion opinions from wardrobe specialists could get a guy to feel excellent knowing that he was in good hands. At Guise there is no worrying about making a wrong decision on an outfit or accidentally deciding to buzz your hair off, as the owners and their employees make it their job to make you look and feel great. As a female, I wished that there was a place that I could share the same care and convenience that the guys do

All of a sudden, it was like owners Heidi Taylor, Brad Habansky, and Jodi Immel, heard my prayers. As the small Guise store is now closed down, the huge new renovated store Guise | Chic is opened right down the street on Halsted in Chicago, catering to the stylish needs of both men and women! They have turned a former police station (rumored to have held Al Capone) into an exquisite destination for shopping and pampering therapy.

Starting on the Guise side of the building you will find a selection of sleek, slim-fitting silhouettes mixed with hard-to-find labels and everyday denim. Brad, being the head of the Guise house, has carefully put together a fine selection of quality lines such as Duckie Brown, Edun, Maharishi, Earnest Sewn, Filippa K, J Lindebert, Tom Ford and Helmut Lang. Coming from a man who hates to shop himself, Brad understands the needs of most guys and knows that when men are surrounded by a million different styles and colors they can start to feel claustrophobic, nauseous, and light-headed. The perfect cure is a shopping and grooming sanctuary full of flat screen TVs where men can lean back, relax and watch the game.

Next is the Chic side. Heidi and Jodi have created the ultimate fashion house for women. They have made it possible to tear a clipping form a magazine and receive a head to toe makeover to match the stylish look you were going for. If you are searching for a hair cut or a color process, look no further as they have expert hair stylists on staff. Buy an outfit, a pair of shoes, and some accessories to go with it and leave Buise | Chic feeling like a whole new you.
